How to Create a Plan that Leads to Profit

Every business wants to be profitable, but you can't be profitable without a plan.

Time for some honesty.

You can't expect to have a 4-figure, 5-figure, or 6-figure month with no idea how you are going to get there.

You can't expect your inbox to be filled with your ideal clients if you're not creating the path form them to reach out to you.

You can't expect Stripe notifications if your customers don't know how or what to purchase.

It all starts with a plan, your why, and how.

I came up with a plan and I know you can too.

Let's talk about how you can create a plan for your business that leads to profit.

1 - Start with your goals

I will say this over and over and over again. Clearly defined, realistic and attainable goals should always be your starting point. Some people may struggle with creating long-term goals but you can set the time frame. I like working on monthly, quarterly, and yearly goal planning.

2 - Listen to your ideal clients

Your ideal clients are always telling you what they want and need, but are you listening. Sometimes it is easy for us to get caught up in doing all the things WE think is best for our business while forgetting to listen to the people we serve and will help the business grow.

3 - Create an action plan

This should be a strategic action plan, one created based on your goals and what you know about your ideal clients. This action plan will outline how you will connect with your audience and meet your goals.

4 - Never forget your why

As we produce content and find new ways to connect with our audience, you will also be consuming the content of others. It is easy to get distracted by what others are doing in their business and then try to replicate their actions. Always keep the WHY behind your business at the center of everything that you do. That will keep everything aligned and you will never feel like the meaning behind your business has been lost.

5 - Be authentic and true

Now it's time for the harsh truth. Those follow pods, follow for follows or sharing links won't work. Why? It's not authentic engagement. They will engage for one day and then become another ghosted follower or email sign up. Your engagement numbers take a hit while you get frustrated because your audience is "so large" but people aren't buying or engaging. Build authentic relationships by creating value. You will eventually start your own community of an engaged audience who supports you and has a genuine interest in what you have to offer.
